LBA offers a series of consulting services for the homeowner, each of which must be addressed in order to have a successful renewable energy installation. These services are performed as a matter of course should you buy a renewable energy system from LBA or they may be purchased separately if you wish to proceed one step at a time.

The initial document provided by LBA is the "System Design Document" which specifies the hardware components and their interconnections, the location and layout of all components, and a plan for installation.

In addition, all of the items discussed below are included in or addressed in this document.

• Passive Solar Home Design- Designing a passive solar house using green building principles. We have home plans that are for sale with modifications available from the architect.
• Energy Conservation is at the top of the list. Why is conservation so important? Could it be that for every dollar you spend on conservation, you save from 3 to 5 dollars on the cost of your PV system?
• Load Analysis- How do we determine your system size?
• Installation Considerations- How do we locate the system at your house? Are there other changes that need to be made to your house?
• Sizing the PV Array- What size solar panels and how many are required to meet your needs?
• Payment and Financial Incentives- How do you go about financing a system? Can the Federal and State governments help?
• User Training and Technical Support- Do you need training to operate the system? What is there for you to do for routine maintenance? What do we provide for ongoing support?
• PC Interface- How to hook up your system to a PC and the Internet?
